Mouse without Mouse Pad – 3D Optical Finger Mouse

Can you think of a pc mouse without a mouse pad?. Here is a new type of pc mouse that does not require a mouse pad and even you can use it by wearing it like a ring in your finger. This is a USB mouse, but I am sure there will be a version of this 3D optical finger mouse which is wire free, could be a bluetooth enabled one.
Its very amazing to see the evolution of mouse over the period time. May be we could witness a Mind Mouse, that can be pointed by thought. Hope the brain machine interface can do a lot in this area.
