Hide your Orkut Profile from Google Search

With the onset of Social Networking sites, gathering information about any individual became very easy through internet, to a layman’s level. And nowadays Social networking sites are even exposing their users details to most of the search engines. Facebook, Myspace, LinkedIn, Orkut etc are some of the social networking sites which are already providing their users details to search engines like, Google, Yahoo, Live etc.

In Orkut, there is an option to allow or disallow Google to index users details. By default this option will be enabled, so that Google can index the details and can be exposed in Google search results of your friends.

To hide your personal details in Orkut from Google search engine, go to the settings page of your Orkut profile and select the privacy tab, then you can find an option to show/ hide your Orkut information from Google search.
