How to tie a tie

Tying a tie is always a challenge for a beginner,  to make sure the know is properly made and you are comfortable after putting tie!. I wish to share few videos, which could help the beginners to learn to tie a tie.

1. Four in hand knot: The four-in-hand knot a way of tying a neck tie. This is also referred as a schoolboy knot(as its common among students) or simple knot. Being the simplest way of tying a tie, this is most popular method followed by most of the students and beginners. Below video demonstrates the steps to make a four in hand knot.

2. Pratt Knot: In this method tie will be tied around one’s neck and collar, it is also referred as Pratt-Shelby and the Shelby knot. The name of this method came from its inventor Jerry Pratt, an employee of US Chamber of commerce.  The below video can help you learn the Pratt Knot.

3. Half Windsor Knot: This method of tying a tie  is also referred as the single Windsor knot. This is a way of tying a neck tie which produces a neat, triangular knot. This looks larger than the four-in-hand knot and Pratt knot but smaller than the Windsor knot. The below video can help you learn to Half Windsor Knot.

4. Windsor Knot: This method of tying a tie is also known as as a Full Windsor or  Double Windsor. To distinguish it from the half-Windsor, this is a method of tying a necktie around one’s neck and collar.  The below video can help you master Windsor Knot !
