System requirements of Windows 8 Developer preview

Its right time to have a first  hand experience with the latest desktop operating system, Windows 8, from Microsoft.

Windows 8 developer preview is expected to work well on all hardware configurations that powers Win Vista and Win 7.

The minimum hardware configurations required for Windows 8 develper preview is listed below:

• 1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
• 1 GB RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
• 16 GB free hard disk space for 32-bit or 20 GB for 64-bit
• DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
• If you want to experience the touch input, a screen that support multi-touch is must.
• To run Metro style Apps, you need a screen resolution of 1024 X 768 or greater.
