Enable Windows Firewall for enhanced security in Windows XP SP2
It is very important to enable Windows Firewall while you access the internet or local network.
This would help to keep your computer to certain extent.
Follow the steps below to enable windows firewall in your Windows XP SP2 operating system.
- Go to Start Menu > select Control panel
- In control panel select Security Center icon, if you are in category view.
- Double click the Windows firewall option
- Select the General tab of the Windows Firewall window to enable the Windows Firewall.
If you want to selectively allow some applications to be allowed by Windows Firewall, you can specify those applications in the Exception tab of the Windows Firewall window.
