Microsoft has put is research efforts in transforming the conventional visual interfaces for computing and came up with a revolutionary concept called Surface Computing. As its name says, it refers to the computing on a surface. It can be on your table or any other similar surface.
Microsoft’s Productivity and Extended Consumer Experiences Group has developed a product with this concept, which is computer which looks like your table and the top surface will be a screen, and it has software and hardware combination technology that allows a user, or multiple users, to manipulate digital content by the use of natural motions, hand gestures, or physical objects.
Sounds great?, yes really it is. This is product is expected to be launched in the commercial market in November 2007. About the price, each unit will be priced roughly between $5000 to $10000.
